Labor Day Weekend marks the beginning of the fall season and the perfect time to join friends and foodies at the 2nd Annual Sample the Sierra festival. Showcasing the best offerings from El Dorado County chefs, winemakers, and growers, this farm to fork festival takes place during harvest on Sunday, September 4th from 12-5pm onSki Run Blvd. inSouth Lake Tahoe. In addition to nearly 30 vendors featuring art, activities, marketplace items, and live music, festival goers will enjoy expert pairings of food and wine throughout the day.
One sample to look forward to features Colibri Ridge Winery and Vineyard, a small family owned winery located on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Foothills partnered with Home Grown Grill whose menu is always fresh and will use organically grown produce from more than 15 varieties of fruits and vegetables on Z&B Ranch.
Tickets for the 2nd Annual Sample the Sierra are available in advance online at www.samplethesierra.com or at the event via cash, there will be an ATM. $25 includes admission, and food and wine sampling.
