ANNOUNCING SAMPLE THE SIERRA PAIRINGS 
Join neighbors and visitors during Labor Day Weekend, the afternoon of Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 12-5pm on Ski Run Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe for the 2nd Annual Sample the Sierra. This farm to fork festival features live music, art, beer, wine, and fresh, fine food locally produced in El Dorado County.
Celebrating Geotourism, Sample the Sierra pairs local chefs, growers, and winemakers to showcase the bounty and the heritage of the Sierra Nevada Region. First time participant Café Fiore, featured in The San Francisco Chronicle, The Sacramento Bee, and Best Places to Kiss in Northern California will partner with veteran participant and certified organic producer Perez Red Shack. Gerardo Perez has chosen tomatoes from over ten acres of fresh, organic vegetables and fruits. Café Fiore’s self-taught chef Gilberto Ruelas will showcase their freshness and flavor in bruschetta. Paired with Bumgarner Winery, whose husband and wife team craft superior small batch wines, with each ounce personally handled, this partnership will leave you craving more.
Tickets for the second annual Sample the Sierra are available in advance online at www.samplethesierra.com or at the event via cash, there will be an ATM.
$25 includes admission, and food and wine sampling.
