Imagine sipping a big bold El Dorado County wine, perfectly paired with fare from the region’s best chefs, prepared with fresh seasonal produce grown within a 100 miles from where you stand.  This is what you will find this Labor Day weekend in South Lake Tahoe.  The TahoeChamber proudly announce s the 3rd Annual “Sample the Sierra,” a farm-to-fork festival celebrating the best food, wine, and art in the Sierra Nevada.  Look forward to sampling award winning wines from the Sierra foothills including wines from returning vintners such as  David Girard Vineyards, Shadow Ranch Winery, and Crystal Basin Cellars.   Peruse booths with unique handmade products including jewelry, alpaca apparel, herbs, spices and gourmet chocolates.  Enjoy live entertainment including music, storytellers and cooking demonstrations.   Food & wine lovers alike are invited to “Sample the Sierra” on Sunday September 2nd, 2012.  The festival will be held on Ski Run Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe, from 1-5PM.

“Sample the Sierra” is a cooperative effort of El Dorado County organizations, growers, producers and businesses to increase awareness of the region’s bounty, heritage, culture and activities.  “Sample the Sierra” currently has openings for growers, wineries, breweries, chefs/restaurants, marketplace vendors, entertainment and artists.
