Hummus is the Arabic word for chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans.  A healthy dish that is high in vitamin C and iron, Chef Peter Brinckerhoff from the Bear Moon Bar & Grill inside Diamond Resorts on Ski Run shares his recipe for this delicious summer dish.   Try it alongside a glass of 2010 Jodar Chardonnay, the citrus flavors will make a perfect companion to the hummus.  Jodar’s tasting room is located in Camino, their beautiful views and gorgeous tasting room awaits you.  Jodar Vineyards & Winery and Bear Moon Bar & Grill were paired together at last year’s festival and they wooed the crowd with stuffed zucchini blossoms and award winning wines.  Mountain Bounty Farm, located on the San Juan Ridge of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, will be providing them with fresh produce from their family farm to highlight in Peter’s tasting sample this year.
