Renaissance Vineyards & Winery was founded in 1978, and after 30 years in the business, have focused their art of winemaking to perfect a limited production of Bordeaux and Rhone families of varietals. The Vineyards, located in Oregon House, are situated in carefully selected microclimates to give each wine its signature characteristics. The wines are produced using organic viticulture methods, and there are no pesticides, herbicides or fungicides used in production. The experience and passion that goes into each wine produced contributes to the intense flavors, powerful structures, and outstanding aging potential.
Tahoe Spice Works is a family owned and operated business in Stateline, Nevada that produces all natural herbs and spices. A visit to their website leaves you with a greater knowledge of the health benefits of more than 20 different spices. From the anti-inflammatory properties of basil and rosemary, to the cancer fighting properties of turmeric, a click to Tahoe Spice Works will leave you feeling smarter and healthier. Their products include herbs, spices, all-purpose seasonings, dip mixes, rubs and more.
Beal’s Orchards was a participant in the inaugural Sample the Sierra, and we are very happy to have them back for year three. Their freshly grown stone fruit includes “elephant ear” plums which are dark and tart and pair perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Peaches, apricots and plums are just a few of their delicious crops.
Jazz Kat Café is another one of South Lake Tahoe’s newest restaurants. Serving breakfast and lunch daily, Jazz Kat Café is known for their home cooked meals including breakfast benedict, fresh salads and Paninis. The friendly staff will whip you up a cup of locally roasted specialty coffee using unique and delicious flavors including rose, violet and lavender. The relaxing atmosphere is great for enjoying a cup of coffee, fresh baked goods, or just a good meal.
