Taste 06

This year the annual South Lake Tahoe farm-to-fork festival, Sample The Sierra, is doing things a little bit different; this year we’re beating the Labor Day crowds and moving the festival to September 17th! Imagine soaking up the atmosphere with fine wines, tasty bites, great music, and being able to enjoy the sights of Tahoe without the endless crowds.

Sample The Sierra is returning for its seventh year celebrating the region at which you can enjoy food and drink pairings from the finest Sierra chefs, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and farmers. Float from booth-to-booth sampling all that there is on offer at Lake Tahoe’s largest farm-to-fork festival in celebration of the Sierra Nevada’s abundance of produce. Sample The Sierra also welcomes back live music, artists, and artisans.

Mid-September in Tahoe is where evenings can still be enjoyed on a teak garden bench with a glass of wine, the temperature holds in the upper-60’s, and the romance lingers in the air as you stroll along the shore line. Visit Tahoe and you have hundreds of hiking and biking trails on your doorstep. The Lake still offers kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming in the late summer, but without the crowds of Labor Day. Take a drive to Emerald Bay (only a twenty minute drive from South Lake) and actually be able to park! Most restaurants don’t need a reservation, but you can still enjoy the bustling and vibrant restaurant culture. If food is your passion and Sample The Sierra just isn’t enough then why not extend your stay for the week and take in the happenings of Tahoe South’s Restaurant Week from September 16th to 23rd, where participating restaurants welcome you to come and enjoy one-of-a-kind menu offerings.

If you do not have the time required to maintain your yard, it’s a good reason to seek professional landscaping advice from a hardscaping contractor Naperville.
