It’s hard not to be enamored with the shockingly blue color of Lake Tahoe, and the creator of Tahoe Blue Vodka, Matt Levitt, agrees. Matt came to Tahoe from Maryland, it was the last stop on a two week West Coast road trip. Drawn to the lake’s color and natural beauty, Matt and his girlfriend (now wife) stayed for a few extra days and have been here ever since. He was inspired by the lake to create a vodka based on Tahoe.
Matt and his team use the lake water and transform it into Tahoe Blue: a delicious 3-blend vodka that is pure, natural, and gluten free. It’s claimed numerous awards, including #1 Unflavored Vodka in the World at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
